The growth of the healthcare industry is rapidly increasing as medical technology improves, access to insurance increases and large demographics, such as the Baby Boomers, begin to age. There is a slight difference between a healthcare manager and a healthcare administrator. Typically, managers run the healthcare organization and administrators oversee staffing concerns; however, some health systems interchange or mingle the titles. Whichever the case, healthcare executives require a minimum of a bachelor's degree in healthcare management and can expect a median annual salary of $94,500.
